Kazakhstan: Export potential of grain in the current MY amounted to 7 million tons

The Minister of Agriculture announced the export potential of Kazakhstan for 19/20 in grain and grain processing products in the amount of 7 million tons.

According to the data obtained, the cultivated area this year will be 15.2 million hectares. The harvest has already been collected from an area of 4.8 million hectares, which is 31%.

The harvest volume reached five and a half million tons, while the average yield was 1.15 t/ha.

Experts came to the conclusion that this year grain harvest will remain at the level of 2019 and amount to 20.3 million tons.

The main export directions of grain and flour remains the countries of Central Asia.

Kazakhstan is strengthening its grain export potential and has reached 7 million tons this year. This indicates that the country continues to be an important player in the global agricultural market.
