Kazakhstan: September wheat exports broke all records

During September, a record 377.000 tons of wheat was exported from Kazakhstan. This figure exceeds the export figures for the past five seasons.

According to information received from the Customs Control Committee of Kazakhstan, exports of this crop in September reached 376.800 tons, which was the maximum for the previous five years.

The main importing country of Kazakhstan wheat is Uzbekistan. In total, 114.800 tons were shipped to this country.

In addition, the volume of export supplies of this crop has increased in the direction of Georgia. So, during September of the current year, nearly 30.000 tons were sent to this country, which is more than export supplies for the entire past marketing year.

Spain also increased purchases of Kazakh wheat. Thus, during the specified period 11.2 thousand tons were shipped to this country. Another major wheat importer is China. However, during the reporting month, export shipments decreased to 21.5 thousand tons, whereas 86.8 thousand tons were exported to this country in the previous months.

It should be recalled that in 2017 the total volume of wheat exports from the country amounted to 3.9 million tons.
