Grain Quality Control Strengthened in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent Region During Harvest and Storage
During the 2026 harvest and storage season, 300,835 tonnes of grain were delivered to grain receiving points in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent Region. Of this volume, 162,290 tonnes were allocated to state resources, while another 138,546 tonnes were designated for temporary storage.
Particular attention is currently being paid to the timely transfer of grain from open storage areas to enclosed facilities, as well as to monitoring its quantity and quality. Specialists from the Tashkent Regional Department of UzAgroInspection are carrying out regular inspections and monitoring storage conditions. Following the control measures, 13 written instructions were issued, 15 warning letters were sent to district administrations, and six preventive measures were carried out.
The large volumes of grain received during the harvest season require rapid monitoring of key quality parameters at the stages of receiving, handling and storage. Timely detection of excessive moisture and other changes in grain characteristics helps reduce the risk of quality deterioration and supports informed decisions about further storage or use of the product.
For grain receiving facilities, Infracont SGrain and XGrain NIR grain analyzers provide a practical solution. The equipment enables rapid determination of key quality parameters in cereals, pulses and oilseeds without complex sample preparation.
The Infracont XGrain is additionally equipped with an integrated weighing module, allowing bulk density and other grain quality parameters to be determined in a single analysis. The analyzers also feature a built-in thermal printer for immediate printing of test results, while the InfraCloud system allows results to be stored and accessed via a computer, tablet or smartphone.
Infracont SGrain and XGrain analyzers are available through the PromInvestService branch in Uzbekistan and other company branches. Their use enables fast and convenient quality control directly at grain receiving facilities and storage locations.
