Feed Flour Export: Negotiations Between Kazakhstan and China
Representatives of authorized government bodies of Kazakhstan and China held a working meeting at the Embassy of the PRC dedicated to the export of Kazakh agricultural products, particularly feed flour.
The main topic of the talks was China’s requirements regarding product quality and safety, phytosanitary standards, and accelerating the registration of Kazakh enterprises in the databases of the General Administration of Customs of China.
Special attention was given to applications from domestic producers of feed mixtures based on wheat and barley submitted in March 2026. The Kazakh side emphasized the need for faster processing of documents to expand export opportunities.
Quality control as a key export factor
In response to stricter Chinese requirements, modern analytical methods are becoming increasingly important. One of such solutions is NIR analyzers Infracont, which enable fast and non-destructive quality control of raw materials and finished products.
NIR-анализаторы Infracont use infrared spectral analysis, allowing chemical composition to be determined within minutes without damaging the sample. The technology is used for analyzing:
- whole grains
- legumes
- oilseeds (including sunflower)
- flour
- meal and cake
- compound feed
Each component has a unique infrared absorption spectrum, enabling precise quality assessment.
Importance for exports to China
The use of NIR analyzers can become a key tool for Kazakh exporters under new Chinese market requirements.
Key advantages include:
- reduced laboratory testing time
- improved transparency of export batch quality
- simplified phytosanitary compliance verification
- faster export processing
Cooperation outlook
The parties also discussed updating company registers, addressing previous Chinese remarks, and further steps to ensure stable agricultural exports.
Kazakhstan expressed interest in accelerating application reviews and expanding the list of accredited exporters.
Conclusion
The meeting confirmed the mutual commitment of Kazakhstan and China to developing stable agricultural trade cooperation. The introduction of modern quality control technologies, such as NIR analysis, is seen as a key factor in improving product competitiveness on the international market.
