Kazakhstan: More than 3.000.000 t of grain were harvested in Akmola region

Farmers in the region plan to collect more than 5.000.000 t of grain crops. According to information received from the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, slightly more than 3.000.000 t of grain were harvested in the region, which is 66.2% of the planned areas.

The report on the progress of the harvest campaign also indicates that the area from which the crops were harvested amounted to 2.800.000 ha. The yield in this region reached almost 1.1 tons per hectare.

It should be noted that the Akmola region is the leader in the production of grain crops in the Republic.

This year, the area allocated for sowing amounted to more than 4.700.000 ha, and 4.300.000 ha were allocated for grain crops. This region specializes in the production of spring wheat. Under this crop there are 3.700.000 ha.
