
Ukraine: Export supplies of flour from Ukraine grew
Since the beginning of the current MY and as of May 10, export supplies of flour from Ukraine have reached the level of 389 thousand tons, which exceeds the figure of the last year by 85 thousand tons.
Such information was provided by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
Export supplies of flour had the following structure: the quantity of exported wheat flour amounted to 387.7 thousand tons, which exceeds the figure of the past year by 85 thousand tons. The exports of flour from other types of crops reached a level of 1.5 thousand tons.
It should be recalled that during the period from January to March, Ukraine produced 447.000 tons of flour, which is 3.7% less than last year.
In the first quarter, Ukraine increased export supplies of flour by 14% compared to the same period last year. The total volume of exports for this period amounted to more than 4 thousand tons. This indicates that Ukrainian flour producers are confidently holding their positions in the world market.
The main consumers of Ukrainian flour are the countries of Europe and Asia, as well as some African countries. In general, the export of flour from Ukraine has shown stable growth in recent years, which is a good signal for Ukrainian agricultural producers.
The demand for Ukrainian flour is due to its high quality and competitive price. In addition, favorable conditions for growing grain crops in Ukraine also contribute to an increase in flour production.
The export of flour is one of the important directions in the development of Ukrainian agribusiness. It helps to increase income from the sale of cereals and increase employment in agriculture.
