Ukraine: In the current MY, 9% less sunflower oil will be produced

The volume of production of sunflower oil in the current year is forecast at 2.67 million tons, while in the past year it was produced 2.92 million tons of this product. Decrease in the level of production will be 8.6%.

It should be recalled that in February this year the production of this product reached a level of 0.43 million tons, which is slightly less than 5% less than in February of last year. While in the previous month, in comparison with February, the level of sunflower oil production was 1.7% higher.

In accordance with the latest data, the production of sunflower oil in Ukraine this month decreased by 9% compared to last year. This is due to unfavorable weather conditions, which negatively affected the yield and quality of the crop.

Despite the decline in production, Ukrainian producers continue to export sunflower oil to foreign markets. However, lower yields could negatively affect export volumes in the coming months.

In this regard, Ukrainian farmers and sunflower oil producers are trying to increase production efficiency and introduce new technologies to improve yields and crop quality. However, in the near future, adverse weather conditions may continue to have a negative impact on the production of sunflower oil in Ukraine.
