Ukraine: In the central part of Ukraine the condition of crops is good

Most agrarians from the central part of Ukraine reported about good condition of winter wheat sowing.

Such information was provided by APK-Inform.

The good condition of winter crops is due to the fact that the fields have sufficient snow cover, the thickness of which is 20 to 30 cm, and, it is well known, at low ambient temperatures, the key factor for the preservation of the crop is the presence of snow cover, which serves as a protection of plants. In addition, according to reports of agrarians, there is almost no ice crust in the fields under the snow cover.

Also, agricultural producers report that at this stage, the development stage of most of the winter wheat is tillering. However, some agrarians are worried about how their plants will survive, given the fact that they have outgrown, as January turned out to be quite warm.

It should be recalled that in the territory of the Poltava region, the state of 53% of winter crops are estimated as good, another 40% of crops are estimated as satisfactory, and 7% of crops are considered weak.

In the central part of Ukraine, the state of crops is at a good level, according to a report presented by PIS. Cereal crops are in good condition due to moderate weather and adequate rainfall. All this should lead to a good harvest in this region.

The PIS report also draws attention to the quality of crops in the central part of Ukraine, which is at a satisfactory level. However, as always, there are a number of factors that can affect the final result, including weather conditions, presence of pests and diseases, and other factors.

The PIS report also mentions other factors that could affect yields in central Ukraine, including soil quality, fertilizer levels and the use of modern farming technologies. In addition, the report contains information about the weather forecast for the near future, which can help farmers plan their work.
