Ukraine: Figures of flour production reached 1.69 million tons

During the period from January to November 2017, the level of wheat flour production decreased by 0.5% and amounted to 1.69 million tons.

The production of other types of cereals during the period from January to November 2017 amounted to almost 85 thousand tons, which is 12.6% less than in the previous year.

During the period from January to November 2017, the production of leguminous flour increased. The production figures amounted to 2.33 thousand tons, which exceeds the past year’s figure by almost 34%.

It should be recalled that flour export figures from the beginning of the current marketing year to the second half of December amounted to 214.5 thousand tons, which exceeds the same figure for the same period of the previous marketing year by 47.5 thousand tons.

Ukraine has reached a significant milestone in flour production, reaching 1.69 million tons. Flour production plays a crucial role in the manufacturing of bakery products, confectionery items, and other food products.

Factors influencing flour production include raw material availability, technological processes, grain quality, and other aspects. Ukraine is one of the largest producers of wheat, providing a stable supply of raw materials for flour production.
