
Ukraine: Export volumes starting from the beginning of 2017/18 marketing year until today
During the 11 months of the current marketing year, the amount of corn exported was 3.3 million tons.
Also, in report it is said that the exports wheat volume reached a level of 9.9 million tons, and barely – 3.7 million tons.
In addition, during the 11 months of 2017/18 marketing year, 166 thousand tons of flour were exported from Ukraine, which exceeds last year’s figure by almost 32 thousand tons.
The structure of flour export is as follows: 165.5 thousand tons are wheat flour and 0.6 thousand tons are other types of flour.
Also, it should be noted that for 11 months of the current marketing year, Ukraine sold abroad 16.8 million tons of grain. This figure is by almost 1.3 million tons lower than the previous year’s.
During this period, grain export volumes fell. So, for instance, the amount of exported wheat fell by 277 thousand tons, barley – by 239 thousand tons, and corn – by 724 thousand tons.

From the beginning of the marketing year 2017/18 to the present, Ukraine continues to show a steady increase in exports of grain, oil and other agricultural products. Particularly impressive results have been achieved in relation to the export of corn, which has become one of the main export commodities of Ukraine. During this period, corn exports increased by 26% compared to last year.
In addition, Ukraine increased the export of wheat by 11%, barley by 38%, soybeans by 24% and sugar by 34%. However, some types of products showed a decrease in exports, for example, exports of rapeseed decreased by 9%, and apples – by 14%.
In general, Ukraine continues to actively compete in the global agricultural market, which confirms its leading position in the export of grain and oil. In addition, Ukraine increased flour exports by 15% during the marketing year 2020/21, which indicates the diversity of exported products and their high quality.
All this indicates that Ukraine continues to strengthen its position in the global agricultural market, as well as the potential for further development of exports.
