Export of Ukrainian grain to Asia

According to the opinion of Andrei Shklyar, the head of the expert department of the TCTS-Consulting, the increase in Ukrainian exports directly depends on supplies to Asia. Import of grain in Asian countries is growing, so that Ukraine can increase its supplies to these regions. The countries of Asia are considered the largest market in the world, as the population of this territory is more than 3 billion. According to the expert’s observation, in 2011 Asia was in the last ranks of Ukraine’s export products. Now the situation has changed to the opposite direction. In 2016, the export of Ukrainian products to Asian countries has increased significantly, which positively affects the export of Ukraine. Moreover, in the period of 2016/2017 marketing year, the export of Ukrainian grain to Asia amounted to 8.38 million tons, which is 66% of all exported grain of our country. For comparison, in the 2015/2016 marketing year this figure was 47%. Andrei Shklyar considers this as a positive moment in this issue. Thanks to this situation, the analyst notes that Ukraine got a new major consumer. At the moment not so many countries buy Ukrainian grain, but in a significant amount.

Ukraine is one of the largest grain producers in the world and has a huge potential for export to world markets. In recent years, Ukrainian grain has been increasingly used in the Asian market, where there is a great demand for high-quality agricultural products.

The main partners of Ukraine in the export of grain to Asia are China, India, Iran, Bangladesh and other countries. In these countries, Ukrainian grain is in high demand due to its quality, competitive price and convenient location for transportation.

In addition to traditional partners, Ukrainian grain producers are beginning to look for new opportunities in the Asian market, and successfully find them. For example, in recent years, the export of Ukrainian grain to Japan has increased significantly, due to the high quality and the need for the Japanese market to import grain.

Also, the export of Ukrainian grain to Asia has prospects for further development, as many countries in the region continue to grow and develop, increasing the demand for quality agricultural products.

Thus, the export of Ukrainian grain to Asia is a promising direction for the development of the agricultural sector of Ukraine, which allows finding new opportunities and prospects in the world market.
