Grain Sampler APOLLON LONG
The APOLLON LONG sampling probe, designed as a hydraulic unit mounted on a monorail system, performs automatic sampling from truck convoys of the following crops: sunflower and wheat, corn and barley, rapeseed, cocoa, rye, buckwheat, rice, oats, as well as other materials with similar consistency and bulk density up to 1,000 g/l.
The remote sampling probe ensures high-quality, simple, and convenient sampling of grain crops and other bulk materials. Samples are taken across the entire depth of the load, including the bottom layer, from various trucks and trailers. After the probe head is lowered, the collected sample is pneumatically transported and discharged via a cyclone unloader.
Functional features of APOLLON LONG provide a number of advantages
- sampling without moving trailers or trucks with a length of 16 m or more;
- simultaneous sampling in a single immersion across the entire depth of the material, including the bottom layer;
- sampling from two flows using a single sampling probe;
- conical tip suitable for dense and difficult materials, such as wet corn;
- fully automatic sampling mode activated by a single button;
- wireless remote control with an operating range of up to 100 m from the laboratory;
- economical and efficient process: the probe is withdrawn without spillage or dust;
- easy operation ensured by smooth adjustment of the sample volume;
- direct delivery of the collected sample to the laboratory;
- almost instantaneous sampling process — full cycle takes no more than 3 minutes;
- remote operation — sampling starts by command from the control panel;
- high strength: the probe is made of a high-strength titanium-containing alloy for reliability and durability;
- simple maintenance and user-friendly operation.
Description of the APOLLON LONG Sampling Probe
The sampling probe is supplied disassembled and consists of the following components:
- support column — 2 pcs;
- monorail — 1 pc;
- sampling probe;
- rotating boom;
- aspiration system (turbine, mounting bracket, cyclone unloader);
- box with installed hydraulic power unit;
- remote control panel;
- cable set.
Operating procedure of the APOLLON LONG sampling probe
The operator uses the remote control to position the probe above the truck body or trailer.
After verifying the position, the sampling cycle is started.
The probe is lowered through the material to the bottom of the truck body.
During lifting, the turbine is activated, delivering the collected material to the cyclone unloader in the laboratory.
With an automated system installed, the sampler can operate fully automatically according to predefined programs.

The APOLLON LONG sampler is well suited for operation with trucks and provides efficient and accurate sampling of grain and bulk materials directly from vehicle bodies. The probe with a conical tip easily penetrates dense materials, including wet corn, while the pneumatic conveying system ensures fast delivery of the collected sample to the control point.
Thanks to the hydraulic monorail system, truck convoys up to 16 meters in length can be sampled without repositioning the vehicle. Such a truck-mounted sampling solution significantly simplifies quality control procedures at the product receiving stage.
