Grain and Oilseed Harvest Forecast in Ukraine: Why It Is Important to Prepare Infrastructure in Advance
The Ukrainian Grain Association forecasts Ukraine’s grain and oilseed harvest in 2026 at 83.6 million tons. For comparison, the 2025 harvest is estimated at 80 million tons. With such production volumes, the export potential in the 2026/27 season could reach 50.8 million tons, compared to 42.3 million tons in the current season.
Experts note that the implementation of this scenario will depend on the logistics situation, the stability of transport infrastructure, and the ability to ship products on time.
According to the UGA forecast, wheat production in 2026 could reach 22.8 million tons, barley — 5.2 million tons, and corn — 32.1 million tons. Sunflower production is also expected to increase to 13.3 million tons, while rapeseed may reach 3.4 million tons. A significant share of oilseeds will be processed domestically.
Against the backdrop of increasing production volumes, high-quality post-harvest grain handling becomes especially important. Timely drying helps reduce grain moisture to a safe level, preserve product quality during storage, and prepare grain for further processing or export.
For farms, grain terminals, and processing enterprises, Perry tower grain dryers can become one of the practical solutions. This equipment is used for drying various agricultural crops, including wheat, corn, barley, sunflower, and other oilseed crops.
The international group of companies PromInvestService is the official representative of Perry Engineering Services Ltd in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and other countries, helping customers select grain drying equipment according to the specific needs of each enterprise.
As crop volumes continue to grow, modern grain dryers are becoming an important part of agricultural infrastructure, helping preserve product quality and improve the efficiency of further storage, processing, and sales.
