Ukraine: Sunflower Oil Export
From September to February, Ukraine exported 2.6 million tonnes of sunflower oil to external markets. This figure is 5% lower compared to the same period last year, which reached a record high of 2.7 million tonnes.
According to “UkrAgroConsult,” the main importers of Ukrainian sunflower oil are India (accounting for 45% of total shipments), EU countries (28% of total exports), and China (10% of exports). While China slightly increased its import of this product, Iran, on the other hand, reduced its imports. Iraq (4%) and Malaysia (1%) complete the top 5 major importers.
Ukraine continues to increase its export of sunflower oil, which has become a significant factor for the development of the agricultural sector and foreign economic activity in the country. In recent years, there has been a growth in the volumes of sunflower oil export, indicating the increased competitiveness of Ukrainian producers. This positive trend contributes to attracting foreign investments, creating new jobs, and overall economic growth. Sunflower oil export plays an important role in ensuring foreign trade and positively influences the stability of the agricultural market. To support this trend, the Ukrainian government continues to take measures to improve the quality and competitiveness of sunflower oil in the global market.
