UKRAINE: This year’s winter barley production is expected to be the highest since 2016

This year, farmers plan to harvest almost 4 million tons of winter barley, which is 18% higher than the previous year’s harvest. In addition, it is the highest increase of any grain crops.

 

 

Also according to the forecast, the harvest of the following crops is expected to increase:

Winter wheat – +16%,

Soybean – +13%,

Winter rye – +12%,

Peas – +6%,

Grain maize – +4%,

Sunflower – +9%.

 

Reduction is expected for the following crops:

Oats – -20%,

Millet – -18%,

Rice – -8%,

Rapeseed -4%,

Spring barley – -1%.
