KAZAKHSTAN: Oilseeds are sown in all eastern districts

 

Currently, 84 thousand hectares have already been sown with oilseeds in the East Kazakhstan region. The sowing of these crops continues in all districts of the region. The task has already been fulfilled by 50% in Glubokoe district and Semey. In total, 18% oilseeds of the planned are sown.

 

Sown areas of potatoes, vegetables and melons continue to increase. In the region, potatoes are planted at 13% of the plan. Vegetables occupy 18% of the area allocated for them, gourds – 16%. The number of gourds and vegetables planted in 2021 will be higher than last year, 6 hectares and 8 hectares, respectively. In 2020, they occupied 1 thousand hectares less each.

 

The area for oilseeds to be sown in 2021 is 476 thousand hectares, while in the previous year it was 446 thousand hectares.

 

Oilseed crops are actively being planted in all eastern regions of Kazakhstan.
