UKRAINE: 7 million tons of oilseeds were processed by Ukrainian enterprises

During the period from September 2020 to January 2021, Ukrainian oil and fat enterprises processed about 7.000.000 tons of oilseeds, of which 6.400.000 tons were sunflower, 432.000 tons were soybeans and 216.000 tons were rapeseed.
In the previous period, the export of oilseeds from Ukraine amounted to 3.600.000 tons, including 2.370.000 tons of rapeseeds, 1.070.000 tons of soybeans and 160.000 tons of sunflower seeds.
As of 01.02.2021, oilseed reserves amount to almost 8.000.000 tons (6.600.000 tons of sunflower and 1.300.000 tons of soybeans).

Ukrainian oilseed processing enterprises processed more than 7 million tons of crops in 2021, which is 1.2% more than last year. However, butter production decreased by 3.3% and amounted to 2.6 million tons. At the same time, oil exports decreased by 10%, and at the moment, Ukraine is actively looking for new markets.
