Ukraine: Harvesting has already begun in 4 regions

As of June 18, harvesting of early grain crops began in the Nikolaev, Odessa, Kherson and Dnepropetrovsk regions. The harvesting campaign was conducted on a territory of 45.5 thousand hectares.

As of the abovementioned date, nearly 129 thousand tons of grain was harvested, and the yield reached 2.83 t/ha.

The amount of collected winter wheat amounted to 7 thousand tons, the area of collection amounted to 2 thousand hectares, and the yield reached slightly more than 3 t/ha.

The amount of harvested winter barley reached 117 thousand tons, with a yield of 2.92 t/ha. The area of collection was 40 thousand hectares.

In total, 7.2 million hectares were sown with grain and legumes in Ukraine.

Harvesting has begun in four regions of Ukraine. Grain crops are harvested in the Kirovograd region, and spring grain crops are harvested in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Also, cleaning has already begun in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. It is expected that in the coming days, cleaning will begin in other regions of the country. This year, experts predict a good harvest of grain crops, which may have a positive impact on the country’s economy and strengthen its position in the global agricultural market.
