Russia: Grain harvest this year could reach 126 million tons

This year, the harvest of grain crops is expected to reach 126.000.000 t, which will be the second result after the 2017 record. That year the grain harvest reached 135.500.000 t.

The wheat harvest is expected to reach 80.800.000 t, while the yield of such crop as barley and maize is estimated at 19.5 million tons and 12.2 million tons, respectively.

Obtaining such a harvest is possible due to the smaller loss of winter crops, as well as an adequate supply of soil moisture in certain areas.

However, it should be added that in some southern areas there is already a lack of moisture and the possibility of drought in the absence of precipitation.
