
Ukraine: Over the last week, shipments of grain from seaports increased by 12%
During the period from 03/08/19 to 03/15/19, 987.000 tons of grain crops were exported from Ukrainian seaports, which exceeds the shipment volume by 12% in the past week. From 01.03.19 to 08.03.19, 881.000 tons were exported.
During this period, the volume of wheat supplies decreased by 112.000 tons, while there was an increase in corn exports by 32%, and as a result, 899.000 tons were shipped for export.
The main importing countries during the past week were China, Egypt and Germany with shipments of 0.17 million tons, 0.16 million tons and 0.1 million tons, respectively.
From the beginning of the current marketing season, the port of Nikolayev occupies a leading position in terms of shipments. Second and third places are occupied by the port of Chernomorsk and Yuzhny. Shipments from these ports reached 8.5 million tons, 7.5 million tons and 6.4 million tons, respectively.
