
Kazakhstan: As of February 1, reserves reached more than 11.8 million tons
According to the information received from the Statistical Committee of Kazakhstan, as of February 1, almost 11.9 million tons of grain and legumes are stored in the bins of Kazakhstan.
As of the specified date, the amount of wheat reached nearly 9.5 million tons. The volume of food and feed wheat amounted to 7.7 million tons and 0.5 million tons, respectively.
In addition, other crops are stored, namely corn, rice, barley, rye, etc. The stocks volume of these crops are 0.12 million tons, 0.23 million tons, 1.52 million tons and 11.7 thousand tons, respectively. There are also insignificant stocks of buckwheat and millet. The volume of oats stocks is 0.2 million tons.
It should be recalled that last month the volume of grain reserves amounted to 14 million tons.
As of February 1, 2022, grain reserves in Kazakhstan exceeded 11.8 million tons. This indicator became possible due to the successful harvest of 2021, which was due to favorable weather and support measures from the state. Grain exports are also expected to be strong due to sufficient stocks. In general, Kazakhstan’s agriculture continues to develop, which has a positive effect on the country’s economy.
