World: Sunflower production in the current MY can reach a maximum over the last 10 seasons

The amount of sunflower produced in the world in the current MY continues to grow and by the end of this season it can exceed the volumes of the past 10 years and reach 50 million tons.

Such information was obtained during the KazOil conference from the IGC speaker.

However, according to the expert, the sales and purchases of this crop this season will be reduced to 2.2 million tons, whereas last season trade volumes amounted to 2.5 million tons.

The largest decrease in export volumes of sunflower is projected in Kazakhstan. So, last year, 331 thousand tons were exported, while this year it is planned to export 310 thousand tons.
