
Ukraine: Within 9 months, foreign trade turnover of the agro-industrial complex amounted to 16.8 billion dollars
During the period from January to September of this year, the foreign trade turnover of agricultural products amounted to 16.8 billion dollars. At the same time, goods worth 12.9 billion dollars were exported from Ukraine.
Such information was obtained from Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
Over the entire past year, goods worth 18 billion dollars were exported from Ukraine. Compared to this indicator, export rates in the current year are slightly lower than last year’s, however, taking into account harvest volumes, experts assume that annual export figures in the current year will be less to last year’s only slightly.
The three main products exported are grain (37%), oils (24%) and oilseeds (10.3%).
Also, this year there was an increase in export of the following products: rapeseed (by 15%), rapeseed oil (by 84%), soybean oil (by 18%).
The main importing region of Ukrainian agricultural products is Asia (India, China, Turkey) with an import share of 43.5%. The second place is occupied by the countries of the European Union (the Netherlands, Poland, Italy) with a share of imports of 31.8% and the third place is occupied by countries of Africa (Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco) with a share of imports of 13%.
