Over the past few years, Ukraine has significantly increased the volume of exports of sunflower oil. Thus, in 2017-2018, the volume of foreign supplies of sunflower oil reached 5.3 million tons. The main consumers of Ukrainian sunflower are India, China, Turkey, Egypt and the European Union.

India is the largest consumer of Ukrainian sunflower oil, accounting for about 40% of total exports. China and Turkey follow India with 10% and 9% respectively of total exports. In addition, a significant share of exports is occupied by Egypt and the European Union.

The increase in sunflower oil exports to foreign countries allows Ukraine to strengthen its position in the global food market and increase the export potential of its agro-industrial complex.
