Ukraine: Export supplies of flour in the current MY amounted to 327.000 t

During the current marketing year, as of the end of March, 27.400 t of flour was supplied to foreign markets from Ukraine, which exceeds the same indicator of the previous year by 56.400 t.

Such information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

The structure of flour exports is as follows. The volume of exported wheat flour amounted to 326.300 t, while exports of flour from other crops reached 1.100 t.

It should be recalled that during Jan-Feb, Ukraine produced 290.000 t of flour, which is 3.2% less than during the same period last year.

In the current marketing year, the volume of flour exports from Ukraine continues to grow. According to analysts, more than 327 thousand tons of flour have already been exported, which is 15% more than in the same period last year. The main consumers of Ukrainian flour are the countries of the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

The increased interest in Ukrainian flour is due to its high quality, as well as its competitive price on the world market. Ukrainian producers continue to invest in the development of production and improvement of product quality, which contributes to the growth in demand for flour from Ukraine.

It is also worth noting that Ukraine is one of the largest wheat producers in the world, which ensures its high potential in flour production and export to the world market.

However, despite the positive dynamics in foreign markets, Ukrainian flour producers face a number of problems domestically, such as high electricity prices and logistical problems, which hinder the development of the industry and increase the competitiveness of products.
