In 2017-2018, Ukraine increased rye exports by 3.3 times compared to previous years. The main consumers of Ukrainian rye are the countries of Europe, Asia and Africa. However, since the beginning of 2020, the rye market in Ukraine has become less stable due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a number of other factors. This led to a decrease in prices on the market, which in turn negatively affected the export of rye.

Despite this, Ukrainian producers continue to increase the volume of rye production and try to find new sales markets, both within the country and abroad. In order to maintain and expand positions on the world market, it is important to monitor the quality of production, as well as modern technologies of grain cultivation and storage.

If we consider the prospects for the development of rye exports in Ukraine, they remain quite high. It is necessary to continue work on improving the quality of grain and reducing production and transportation costs. It is also important to find new sales markets and strengthen our positions in existing ones.
