Russia: Sowing of sripn crops is almost finished

In Russia, 96% of the territories have already been planted with spring cereals, which is 50 million hectares of the planned amount. As of the reporting date according to the data received from the regions, sowing is almost 100% finished (28.9 million hectares). This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
As of June 10, the planned values for sowing corn and wheat have already been exceeded and the planted area accounted to 12.4 million hectares (102%) and 2.9 million hectares (107%). The area under rice is 189.7 thousand hectares (96.1%) and the area under barley is 7.84 million hectares.
As of June 10, 8.2 million hectares were sown with sunflower, which is 101.6%. It exceeds the planned value. In addition, the area under soy is 2.6 million hectares (82.8%), area under spring rapeseed is 1.2 million hectares (90.5%).
Sugar beet was sown on the territory of 932.2 thousand hectares, which is 98.7% from planned territory.
