Russia: The harvesting campaign 2020 has begun in the Kuban region

The harvesting campaign in the Kuban region has begun. Winter crops has already been threshed in two districts of Russian grain area (several thousand hectares). Harvesting began with barley.

About 1.8 million hectares of grain will be harvested in the Krasnodar region. At the end of the summer, technical crops will be harvested, which occupy 1.3 million hectares.

More than 40 thousand units of agricultural machinery will take part in the harvesting. According to forecasts of authorities from the regions, 100 thousand hectares must be threshed every day. If the weather is good, harvesting campaign should be finished within 15 days.

It is necessary to minimize grain losses, as there was abnormal weather in the spring and the rigon may suffer from a shortage of grain crops.
