Kazakhstan–Pakistan: Expansion of Multimodal Routes and Logistics Optimization
National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” (JSC “NC “KTZ”), represented by JSC “KTZ Express,” has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pakistan’s state-owned logistics company, National Logistics Corporation (NLC), on the development of multimodal transportation.
The signing took place during the official state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to Pakistan.
The document represents a practical step toward strengthening transport and logistics cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan and is aimed at establishing stable cargo flows along the North–South corridor. The potential cargo range includes grain and processed grain products, coal, fertilizers, metals, chemical products, and timber.
The cooperation provides for the comprehensive use of infrastructure and transit capacities of both countries, as well as the development of multimodal logistics solutions involving various modes of transport and ensuring backhaul cargo. This approach will help reduce empty runs, optimize routes, and minimize overall logistics costs.
According to the Akorda press service, several important intergovernmental agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation in transport and logistics were also signed during the President’s visit to Pakistan.
In turn, Prominvestservice offers modern solutions to improve cargo handling efficiency, including front and side truck unloaders.
Truck unloaders are technologically advanced and efficient equipment designed to optimize loading and unloading operations for road transport. They significantly increase productivity, reduce time and labor costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
Such equipment is widely used in logistics, construction, agriculture, and other industries. It ensures process automation, accelerates operations, and minimizes the risk of cargo damage.
