Kazakhstan: Export of wheat from Kazakhstan is expected at the level of 8 million tons
According to the April report of the US Department of Agriculture, the forecast for wheat export from Kazakhstan is expected at 8 million tons, while the previous forecast was 7.5 million tons.
It should be recalled that in the USDA March report, wheat production was forecast at 14.8 million tons. In that report, export forecasts remained at the same level, namely at 7.5 million tons. In addition, the expected volumes of wheat imports were also preserved. This figure was 50 thousand tons.
In addition, as already known, in 2017 the harvest of cereal crops in the Republic of Kazakhstan amounted to 20.6 million tons.
Kazakhstan expects wheat exports to reach 8 million tons, in line with last year’s level. However, yields will depend on weather conditions and rainfall levels, so it is difficult to give an accurate forecast.
Kazakhstan continues to increase the production of high quality wheat and plans to export it to world markets. Last year, Kazakhstan became one of the largest exporters of wheat in the world, exporting more than 8 million tons of grain. This year, the country intends to maintain its position in the world wheat market.
In addition, Kazakhstan is actively developing its agricultural sector and improving the technology of growing grain crops. As a result, the grain yield in the country is constantly growing. In the coming years, Kazakhstan plans to continue improving agricultural technologies and improving the quality of products in order to meet the ever-increasing demands of consumers in world markets.
