The Cabinet approves of abolishing the additional import duty

On October 21, the Cabinet decided to approve of the abolishing of additional import duty from January 1, 2016. This is the statement of A. Abromavichus.

 

He said that the project that will abolish the law on stabilization of the payment system balance based on the twelfth article of the General Agreement of 1994. This bill will be forwarded to the Verkhovna Rada in the near future.

 

The minister also adds that this rate was used as one of the effective mechanisms that can achieve stability in macroeconomics. Due to this very forced measure, we observe improvements in the balance of payments. We can also observe a reduction in the consequences that followed the instability of the markets that were opened to the national economy.

 

According to the data of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, we see that the results of the introduction of additional import charges demonstrated the first steps towards improvements in the second quarter of 2015.
