Drum cleaner with aspiration PRA
The drum grain separator PRA is designed for fast and gentle pre-cleaning of grain crops from large, small and light impurities before drying, storage or processing. The built-in aspiration system removes dust, light organic matter and chaff, improving the quality of commercial grain and reducing the load on subsequent equipment. This model of drum separator is designed to clean grain from dust and to separate whole grain from broken grain and other impurities.
How does the PRA drum grain separator work
The material is fed into a rotating drum sifting unit, where the grain is separated by size through replaceable sieve segments. Then the air flow in the aspiration channel separates the light fractions (straw, husk, dust). Such combined cleaning improves the marketability of the batch and increases the efficiency of storage.
It is used to work with grain before long-term storage. Cleaning before storage makes it possible to avoid overheating, which can occur in the presence of husk, chaff or broken grain. As a result, you get a higher quality final product.

Operating principle
The product flows by gravity into the electric distributor and occupies the entire width of the machine. Then the grain descends lower and an air stream passes through it, blowing out light impurities.
Then the product enters a rotating drum, which is equipped with interchangeable sieves. Small impurities go through the first sieve, then a good product comes out and large impurities come out at the end of the drum.
The size of the holes in the sieves is selected depending on the type of product to be cleaned.
