Ukraine: In 2018, 42.000.000 t of grain crops were exported

During 2018, almost 41.700.000 t of cereals were exported from Ukraine, which is 0.4% less than it was exported in 2017.

Such information was provided by the «Ports of Ukraine».

However, if we consider export supplies in monetary terms, there is an increase of 11.4%. Thus, in 2018, the export of grain products totaled 7.24 billion dollars.

In total exports figures, cereal products account for a 15.3% share.

If we talk about the amount of exported crops, the corn was supplied to the foreign markets in the amount of 21.434 million tons (3.5 billion dollars); the amount of exported wheat was 16.37 million tons (3 billion dollars); barley supply amounted to 3.59 million tons (682 million dollars).

It should be recalled that under the memorandum, another 4.62 million tons of wheat will be exported this year.

In 2018, Ukraine demonstrated high results in the export of grain crops, supplying 42 million tons of products to world markets. This is one of the highest figures in recent years and indicates the high competitiveness of Ukrainian grain. Positive results have been achieved due to high quality and balanced pricing policy, which attracts foreign buyers. In addition, Ukrainian producers are actively working to increase production volumes and expand the range of products, which also contributes to the growth of exports. In general, Ukraine continues to strengthen its position in the world grain markets and continues to develop its economy thanks to successful exports.
