Ukraine: There was a growth of subsidies for the development of the agro-industrial complex of Sumy region

At the end of May 2020, investments in the amount of 840 million UAH were attracted for the development of the agro-industrial complex and agricultural territories in the Sumy region, which is 2 times higher than the amount of investments in the previous year. Almost 570 million UAH were allocated for the development of the agricultural market, which is the main share of total amount. Fourteen million UAH were allocated for the development of crop production, almost 18 million UAH for livestock, and 109 million UAH for the food and the processing industry.

In the Sumy region in 2022, subsidies for the development of the agro-industrial complex will increase by 20%. This will support and develop agricultural production in the region. The region is one of the leading producers of grain and other crops in Ukraine, so supporting the development of the agricultural sector is of great importance for the economy of the region and the country as a whole. The funds will be used to create new jobs, increase the efficiency of land use, as well as to modernize production processes and introduce new technologies.
