Ukraine: Sunflower oil export to India amounted to 45%

The main country importing sunflower oil from Ukraine during the first half of the current MY was India. Moreover, Egypt became the main importer of sunflower oil from Russia.

The amount of sunflower oil exported to the Indian market amounted to 45%, while during the same period last year 36% of the total export of this product to Ukraine was supplied to India.

Also, this report says that during the six months of the current MY, 21% of sunflower oil was supplied to Egypt from the total volume of supplies from Russia. During the same period of the past MY, the share of Russian sunflower oil in the Egyptian market was 15%.

It should be recalled that the export of corn as of April 25 reached the level of 14 million tons, which is 1.5 million tons less than the same indicator of the past year.

In recent months, Ukraine has increased the export of sunflower oil to India. According to statistics, exports from Ukraine to India increased by 45% over this period. This is due to an increase in demand for Ukrainian sunflower oil in the Indian market.

Ukraine is the largest producer and exporter of sunflower oil in the world. A significant part of its production is exported, including to India. India is one of the main consumers of Ukrainian sunflower oil, which is used in various industries, including the food industry.

The growth of sunflower oil exports from Ukraine to India is a positive signal for Ukrainian producers and exporters. This indicates that Ukrainian sunflower oil is in demand on the international market and can compete with other producers.

At the same time, an increase in sunflower oil exports to India may also increase its price in the domestic market, which may affect the food industry sector in Ukraine. However, in general, the growth of sunflower oil exports from Ukraine to India is a positive trend for the Ukrainian economy.
