Russia: Import volumes of grains and oilseeds do not exceed last season volumes

According to information received from the Rosselkhoznadzor, as of 04.02, Russia imported 2.2 million tons of grains and oilseeds, which does not exceed the import volumes of the past year.

The main imported product is soybeans. The volume of imports of this crop reached 1.3 million tons, which is 61% of the total import. The volume of imported wheat reached 14% of total imports.

In addition, in comparison with the past year, imports of rapeseed and peas increased by 6 and 7 times, respectively, and amounted to 41 and 22 thousand tons.

Russia imports all abovementioned products from 70 countries, but the main three suppliers are Brazil (34%), Paraguay (24%) and Kazakhstan (21%).
