Russia: The volume of rye exports is twice the supply for the past season

During the period from July to October of the current year, supplies of rye for export from Russia exceed the supplies of the past year by two times.

The reason for the increase in exports of this crop is the growing demand for this product from the European Union. And the increased demand, in turn, is due to the insufficient harvest of the current year.

However, despite the fact that export volumes are increasing, the harvest of rye of the current year in Russia is record low.

In the domestic market, the situation remains stable due to carry-over balances, but experts warn that such rates of export shipments may lead to negative consequences for the operation of the domestic market.
