Kazakhstan: Grain reserves at cereal reception points amounted to nearly 6.5 million tons

As of December 31, grain stocks at the cereal reception points of Kazakhstan amounted to nearly 6.5 million tons. Such a volume of stocks is more than 1 million tons less than what was available in stocks last year. Reserves at the end of 2018 amounted to 7.55 million tons of grain.

Wheat consists the biggest part of stocks and the volume of wheat stocks is 4.62 million tons.

In addition, the amount of barley received at the cereal reception point is slightly more than 1.17 million tons.

It should be added that at the beginning of this year, almost 80 thousand tons of rice and 0.59 million tons of other crops are also kept in stocks.

Grain stocks at the KhPP of Kazakhstan have reached more than 6.5 million tons. Such large reserves enable the country to become one of the largest grain exporters in the world, as well as self-sufficient in food. At the HPP, grain is processed, which makes it possible to obtain high-quality products ready for sale on the domestic and world markets. Thanks to this development of agriculture and grain processing, Kazakhstan is strengthening its position in the world market and becoming an important player in the field of food security.
